are we stingy?

Is the US stingy?

"Colin Powel said that...America, the world's richest nation, would contribute $15 million. That's less than half of what Republicans plan to spend on the Bush inaugural festivities."

So...over 110,000 people die, yet we can spend more on a party for the Bush than helping innocent people whose lives have been destroyed?!

nature and Jeopardy and Guam

Went on a nature walk this afternoon with Bobby, around the lake and streams behind our house. Found a clearing that had little green plants all over the ground, which is strange since it's almost January and everything else is dead and brown. Came back and watched Jeopardy (GUAM) and played some Sims. fun. It's just like the Christmas vacations that I had back in high school. Except now I can leave and go "home" whenever I want, and I don't hang out with anyone except the family.

4.0!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a 4.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so - i'm getting an iPod - even though I can't afford it.

After 5 years of college, I have either suddenly gotten brilliant or figured out how to get As in all of my classes and still slack off.

christmas!

yay for Christmas. we made cookies (i actually learned how to make jan hagels and russian tea cakes - i think i'm going to start making them all year round - why only have em at Christmas?), wrapped presents, ate...and ate...and ate...opened presents and went to grammy and grampy's. now i'm at home for the next few days, hanging out with the family, playing lots of sims, "cleaning out my room" (yeah right) and eating yummy mom-made food. i'll eventually make it back to madison.

this is me Posted by Hello

the sweet hum of copy machines...

Watching copy machines is fun. And boring. So boring, I've decided to start a blog. I figured it would be more fun to start a blog than write about globalization - or its discontents.
