Still no word from grad schools. Well, I did get one rejection from UPenn's Ed, Culture, & Society program, but there are very few spots and many applicants have worked in the field/already have graduate degrees. I'm being reviewed for their MA program. I also got my rejection letter from BC, which is funny, because I never actually completed my application. After researching the program and faculty some more I realized that it was a terrible fit. It was nice that they sent a letter though, to make it official. Oddly, it went to my mom's house.

So now I don't know what to do with myself. I used to spend all of my free time working on my applications, reading grad school application message boards, researching programs, worrying about my writing sample, etc. And now? I don't know what to do with myself. I guess now is the time to pull out my sewing machine, read all those books I want to read, purge my dresser of old clothes I'll never wear again, and basically not worry about having something to work on 24/7. It's an odd feeling.

Yesterday I interviewed with the Wisconsin Relay, a TTY phone relay system. I did a typing test (60+ words a minute) and a spelling test, which was fun. I haven't had a spelling test since second grade. I need to get another job, since I'm not too busy now with the applications I might as well be working and trying to save some money.

Off to class! Today I get to talk about the gerbils' vigilance behavior. fun!
