forget Saramago and Kundera, it's summer
Now THIS is a Sherpa with a Purse - chick lit about a woman who leaves her fancy job in London to go trekking in Nepal. She's after a guy, of course. I couldn't resist the cover, which shows a real sherpa with a purse.
With or Without You by Carole Matthews
I've been reading chick lit lately (semi-trashy novels which generally have pink covers and are about 20-something women working in advertising/PR/journalism, enjoy shopping, and have a hot, unattainable male love interest). I just finished Bridget Jones' Diary and am finishing up Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic. I can read trashy novels every once in a while. At least these have a bit more depth than the Gossip Girl books. (You know you love me!)

Love that cover pic! You want a trashy chick lit novel you should read "How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life". Its the novel that was plagerized from two book by Megan McCafferty. I'm reading it right now. I read one of McCafferty's books before this one. Some of the passages are taken right off the page! Incredible.
Craziness. You know, "Save Karyn" (the book about the girl who moved to NYC and rang up $20k in credit card debt) had some passages that were very similar to "Confessions of a Shopaholic". Hmm...
