Round-trip fare from Madison to LaGuardia this weekend = $180. WHY WHY WHY does SmarterTraveler.com tempt me like this?! If I wasn't teaching I think maybe I'd go. Or maybe not, I am kinda broke. I'm thinking I might go to NYC for a few days at the end of the summer, just for a break and some time for myself. I want to wander around the city and get lost.
I'm so bored in Madison.
Last night Colette and I went to the Terrace and played Scrabble, visited Sara at work, and went to Pasqual's for nachos and burritos with Sam (who is leaving in a few weeks!). The night before that we went to Coldstone and played "Guess the Country" (a game which I am horrible at! damn Lebanon! and Finland! agh!).
I still want the Yaris, although since I don't drive stick it's gonna cost $13k. A used car sounds so much better. A real full-time job to pay for the car (and $3/gal. gas), however, doesn't sound so fun.

Trust me Jen, it's not fun at all. It's so expensive to have a car and everything a car needs. Gas alone will put you in debt. lol. We're still waiting for our mini van to get fixed. I want it back so bad, but it's so much money to fix. AHHHHHHh! Not fun at all! Think long and hard before you decide to get one.
hahaha...thanks! Maybe I should just stick with my bike and bus pass for now...
So, what, the manual car is less expensive? Save your money now, they're bringing the Smart car to the US and it's supposed to get fabulous gas mileage.
You guys should stop in and harass me more at work, just next time make Colette bring the CD she said she would bring, oh, a month ago.

yeah, i heard about the smart cars coming...those are great! and you'd have an excuse to not give people rides...(although, being car-less for so long, i'm pretty sure i'd give people rides...)
and yeah, it costs like $900 more for automatic...grr.
