on the internets...

I did it. I broke down and got internet for my apt. Not that I didn't have internet before (ahem...) but now it's...from...ummm...from...Charter. I called earlier today and got some really crabby woman on the phone who insisted that I get cable tv in addition to internet and was appalled when I said no, I don't want cable tv (and you call yourself an American!!!), I just want internet. (Not that I don't want cable, but I refuse to pay $60/mo. for crappy channels that I won't watch. Why should I pay for the Golf channel when I'll only watch Comedy Central?) So, I called back tonight, and got a 20-something guy who clearly hates his job. He told me $45/mo, I said no there's a deal on the website for $25/mo, he said no I can do better how about $19.99/mo for a 3meg (I don't think I wrote that correctly...sorry Dan) cable connection for 6 mos. Fine by me! No installation fee, either! They're coming on Wednesday. I can say at this moment I actually love Charter. (But I think I loved them even more than when I lived on Pinckney and fell through the cracks on their billing system...)

In other news...

• Stella attacked my pinky when I was trying to clean out her cage this weekend. She did that after she was walking upside down on the screen covering her cage...like with her claws dug into the screen and everything. Kind of like how birds walk.

• I've only graded 4 of the 64 papers I'm supposed to grade. I haven't even picked up the second round of papers yet, hopefully they're still in my mailbox.
• The sunporch is clean, and I threw out 2 boxes of papers. I realized that I'm never going to read those articles from "Modern American Communities" or "Primates". If I didn't read them when I was in the class, I'm surely not going to read them now (although I do miss reading academic-ey papers...).
• Saturday was about 65 degrees. Last night we had thunderstorms. Now it's snowing. March is weird.
• The guy on the yoga DVD this morning was wearing a Speedo, which kinda freaked me out.
