1. I hate the bus.
2. I hate not having a car.
3. I hate Cingular.
1. I hate the bus:
Yesterday I spent about an hour trying to get to the dentist's office on the bus. I needed to take 2 busses and leave about 45 minutes before my appt. (The dentist's office is about 15 minutes away by car.) The 2 busses I needed to take crossed each other at the wrong times (one was running late, the other was running early) and so I missed the bus. I wouldn't be able to get there for an hour after that. So, I called the dentist (3 times - my phone kept cutting out - more on that later) and said I wouldn't be there today. argh. I'm going to get charged $30 for missing my appt.
Also, the bus that I take to work (to the fancy near-west side mega-chain-bookstore) is changing it's route to serve the fancy new mall and condos that are being renovated across the street. Soo...this will make me a few minutes late to work each day, which will lead me to get fired for attendance reasons pretty soon. argh.
2. I hate not having a car:
Neither of these problems would occur if I had a car. (external Locus of Control...? For all of you non-psych nerds (i.e., everyone except for Nicole and me) that basically means that you blame external factors, rather than yourself, for things that happen, and that things are out of your control.)
3.I hate Cingular:
My phone doesn't work. I have dropped calls all of the time, my service cuts out, and the customer service is terrible. My phone powered off today when I was in the middle of a call, and I wasn't able to turn it on for about 10 minutes. When the calls drop there is this crazy buzzing noise, too. I'm currently on hold (of course, when you call Cingular, your call never drops), this is my third call to Cingular today. About 30 minutes of these calls has been spent on hold. Now I'm on hold for another 10 minutes because they're "experiencing high call volume" right now...wonder why! Because your service sucks! Your phones are pieces of shit! So, now I have to talk to the exchange people, and they're going to send me a replacement phone. But I have to wait until tomorrow to call them, because I have to call from a landline phone. Argh. Then I go to the Cingular message board, and see that this is a known problem with phones that were purchased before February (but the tech support seem to have no clue that this problem exists...). So, maybe I'll get a new version of this POS phone.
