no ani...

i'm mad. at myself and at ticket brokers - you know, the evil guys that buy hordes of tickets to popular events (i.e., ani difranco shows) then re-sell $35 tickets for $200. the ani show in chicago (2/26) is SOLD OUT. i, being the frugal, trying-to-be-anti-corpie (check out Ms. Emily Hell's lovely corporateswine.net) that i am, was about 2 clicks away from buying tickets on ticketmaster this weekend but then i was like f-this - i hate ticketmaster and their $15 per ticket "convenience" fees (just who exactly is this "convenient" for?!), i'll just call the theater on monday and buy tickets from them directly. so today i go to the rbr website (righteousbabe.com) to get the info for the theater and buy tickets, and it says SOLD OUT. so i panic, call colette and freak out, and then scrounge around on the internet and find ani tickets ranging in price from $90 to $250. i feel like crying. i love ani shows. i became an ani groupie when i was in europe, going to three shows in three different countries in one week. i was really looking forward to taking a mini-vacay with colette and an ani show in chicago.

soo...if anyone knows anyone who has a few extra ani tickets lying around, i'd be more than willing to take them off your hands.
